Dubai Crown Prince His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has announced the birth of his daughter, Hind bint Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum.
The news was shared on his Instagram account, where he posted a heartfelt message celebrating the arrival of his fourth child.
The Crown Prince’s growing family now includes two sons and two daughters. His eldest children, twins Sheikha and Rashid, were born on May 20, 2021, followed by his son Mohammed, born in February 2023.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who also serves as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, frequently shares glimpses of his family life with his 16 million followers on social media. He is affectionately known as ‘Fazza’ by his followers.
Joyous announcement
The announcement was made via a birth card posted on Instagram, written in both Arabic and English.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum accompanied the news with a heartfelt prayer: “O Allah, grant her a heart filled with Your love and a tongue that remembers You and increase her in Your light and guidance, and clothe her in the garments of health and well-being.”
This follows the trend of the Dubai royal family using social media to share personal milestones with the public. The Crown Prince’s post received an outpouring of congratulations from his followers, who celebrated the addition of baby Hind to the royal family.
The announcement comes shortly after the birth of another royal baby earlier this month. Abu Dhabi Crown Prince His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed a baby boy, Sheikh Zayed bin Khaled, with his wife, Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Surour bin Mohammed Al Nahyan. The couple now have four children – two sons and two daughters.
Another notable royal birth in recent months was that of Hind bint Faisal, daughter of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority. Sheikha Latifa previously welcomed a son, Mohammed bin Faisal, in 2018, and a daughter, Shaikha bint Faisal, in 2020.
